Momma Schedule Advice

I read a lot of baby/momma blogs, and many mommas have babies very close to Caleb's age.  He is 4 months now, and he is becoming a lot more wakeful and active during the day.  Up to this point we really did not have to much of a schedule. His days consist of eating every 4 hours, napping when he chooses, and playing with different toys around the house. At night time he has bath or lotion night, pj's, bottle, bed. Other than that no schedule. He is really getting to the point where he is learning to do so many things, and I want to continue to help him reach developmental milestones. Plus, being an early childhood education major, I know that children thrive on schedules, and knowing what to expect next.

With all that being said I wanted to ask all of you momma's out there to share with me your daily schedule with your little bundle of joy.  I am hoping that this will help me, and any other mommas out there develop a schedule that works with their little one, and helps them reach milestones as well. Please share any advice you have as to how you set up that schedule.

Here is my take on the post.

9:00-10:00 am Caleb wakes up, has a diaper change and eats
Generally falls back asleep for 30 minutes-1 hour.
11:00-12:00 (Depending on what time he woke up)tummy time mat, swing, bouncy, bumbo (I am hoping to make a schedule in which he participates in different activities for a certain amount of time per day.
12:00: Rock and read a book with mommy
12:00-1 fall asleep (sometimes)
1: wake up and eat lunch, (bottle and cereal)
Sometimes he falls back asleep, sometimes he wants to play
3-Get ready to go to grandmas on days I work, otherwise play with mommy
Eat every 4 hours
10- get ready for bed (bath/lotion, pj's, bottle, bed) We place him in his crib to fall asleep. This took a little bit of self soothing around 8 weeks, but now he is a pro at it.

No set schedule!! I really want to develop one for him, so he and I will both know what to expect in a day.

We recently started including the jumparoo in his daily activities and he loves it.

If you would like to share your schedule, either leave me a comment with your advice, or a comment telling me that you are discussing this subject on your blog. If you mention it on your blog, please link it back to mine (so other momma's can check my comments to see who all is participating in sharing their schedule. I would use mclinky, but I am not sure how :).

Here is a picture of my little man playing in his jumparoo.

Well looks like you Have a schedule! :) I think it really is more of a Mommy baby chose if this works for you keep as is and adjust as he gets older and stays up more. This look like how I did with my child and still do! The only real schedule we have is on Wednesday we do a Mommy and me class! If you are the type that likes to know at 10 we play with toys 11 tummy time 12 lunch ect then do what works for you! If the more laied back kinda day (witch it looks like you have) works best keep with that!

So maybe this didn't help at all but everyone is differnt so is every baby so don't worry about what "they" say to do do what work best for you! Have a good day!

Ellie and I are having a hard time getting a routine down too. But this is what we do so far. She goes to bed at 8pm, wakes up aroun 7am. I feed her and play with her till 8:30am, then she starts yawning so I put her in her crib for a nap. She only sleeps for 45 minutes, you can almost set your watch to it. When she wakes up we repeat the 2 hour awake, 45 mins asleep cycle for the rest of the day until nighttime rolls around and we do a warm washcloth bath, lotion, pjs, and bottle snack. I figure she will slip into a routine on her own eventually, although I would like to have longer naps!
