Up Up and Away

Once again I have a question for all mommas out there in blog world! I know I am full of questions :).  My question today is about diapers. So far in Caleb's two months of life we have been a huge fan of Pampers Swaddlers. I love love love their soft little diapers, and they seem to fit so well.  However, today we have ran out of all of our size one pampers, and we are trying a pack of Luvs that someone bought us. I do not know if I am going to like them as much because they just seem so rough.  However, I am going to try them and see how they work with Caleb. I am afraid to try Huggies, even though we have a pack, because Huggies wipes caused Caleb's bottom to break out awfully bad!! Anway, my question today is about Targets brand Up and Up. I have heard good things and was thinking about buying a pack to try.  However, before I go spend money on something other than Pampers Swaddlers I wanted to have some feedback.  Do you recommend them? Are they rough? Do they fit well and hold in leaks?  Have you completely sworn off other diapers after trying them?? Please share your thoughts with me so I can decide where to invest our diaper money next.  Thanks mommas!

We've used "Parent's Choice" - Walmart brand for all three of our kids... and although the outside of the diaper is not as soft as Pampers, it doesn't really matter because the kiddo never feels that part. I've heard they either work really well for kids (and so far they've done great for our kids) or they don't work at all. So a trial is a must, but they are super cheap, so even if you go out and try them and they don't work you won't be out but maybye $8 and you can always donate the rest to your church nursery. Good luck! It's worth trying out a generic brand, because it can be a HUGE money saver if they work well for your sweetie :)

YEAH!!! First to comment :)

We had a 'diaper' shower before Parker was born so we had the opportunity to try out ALL diapers. Honestly, Pampers were my favorite, but they are VERY expensive and we are on a tight budget. All that to say: we use Up and Up from Target and have since he was 6 months old (yes, we were given a TON of diapers!).

He has never had a rash from them, they have only leaked two times (at night), and I can say I will never buy another brand. You can get 86 diapers for $13 (size 4 anyway). Any other brand you are paying close to $20...for less quantity.

So there you have it...my mommy advice on Up and UP :)

I but my diapers at Bel Aire and Raleys Grocery store. Im not sure where you live if you have those stores but I use the Chlorine Free Diapers made by the brand Full Circle. Have never had a leak. We only use them for overnight and they have been excellent. I use up and up wipes for my daycare and they work fine. If wipes upset his bottom that much try using the sensitive type.

UGH I hate being the first mom to say that we didn't like generic brand diapers, but we don't. We use generic for everything from wipes, baby foods, formula when he was on it, the puffs snack food, but found that we only liked Pampers diapers. We tried Huggies quite a few times since we had quite a few from our baby shower, and also tried the grocery store brand. We found that all of these really irritated Ryder's skin. We don't even like the Pamper's dry fit. I think every baby reacts differently. Ryder has super sensitive skin so we stick to our brands name when it comes to diapers, but if I was you i'd take the risk on at least one pack with your little man because you could save tons of money!!!

I don't know you, but I found your blog through Katie Jones's. I have two boys, and with my first I tried all brands of diapers before deciding that Pampers are the best (wipes too!). I never used anything but Pampers with my second son.
