I Guess This Is Goodbye

Well bloggy friends, I am posting my last post before our trip! We are meeting up with my sis tommorrow at 2 and hitting the road.  I am really hoping that Caleb will travel as well this time as he did back in November.  However, he likes to play a lot, move around, and be entertained now.  Back then he just slept.  I hope driving to Florida with a 7-month-old is not more than I bargained for.  I am beginning to regret not flying just thinking about it.

Anyway, today has been filled with packing and racing to get things finished, along with a pointless shift at work.  Caleb has had a cold the past week, and I decided to be over protective mama today and take him to the doc to get checked out. I just wanted to make sure there was no infection in his lungs or ears before we left.  All checked out great, and he was even a happy baby almost the entire doctor visit (he did not like the ear checker).

I am so excited to go lay on the beach, but sad to leave my hubster for a week.  It has been a LONG time since we were apart that long.  I will miss him oh so terribly, and I wish he didn't have work so he could go with us.  He just works so hard.  I love him so much.  He and Caleb are getting in some snuggle time while I speak, and they look so cute and in love.  Aww a Dada's love.

On another note, hubby has been asked to lower the crib. Caleb is getting more and more active everyday, and I walked in this morning to see this.

On another note, please pray for a little girl named Penny.  She is battling stage 4 cancer, and is only 11 months old.  I can not imagine the fear and pain.  I  can not bring myself to read her story because it freaks me out, and it causes me to basically have a panic attack worrying about Caleb.  I have to stop and pray when I think of bad things happening to my baby.  It is just so scary.  However, after hearing her story, I googled signs of infant cancer, and I found a great sight.  It has wonderful information to keep parents informed on how to monitor their child throughout life.  Check it out here if you are a worry wart like me, or just want to read some good info.  Please please keep Penny in your prayers right now.

I will be MIA this week. Have a great week bloggy friends, and please pray for safe travel for us.

Have fun on your trip! :)

I am totally the same way about Kaidence. Ever since I had her, I can't read stories about babies with severe sickness. I do pray for them, but it's too much for me to read. I will for sure keep Little Penny in my prayers.
