Covered in Love

This is a post devoted to the lovely blankets that people have made for Caleb. Caleb is blessed to have at least three people in his life who can sew, and they have put their talents to use for him. This first blanket was hand quilted by my grammy (Caleb's great grandmother) throughout my pregnancy. She worked so hard on it, and I just love how it turned out.

This next blanket was made by my Aunt Libby (Matt's mom). She worked on it while sitting at the hospital during Matt's therapy. She said that her original plan was to just make large letters and not include lower case, but Matt told her she needed to have both. She made the blanket large enough to fit a toddler bed.

The next two blankets were also made by my grammy. Years ago she made these "angel blankets" for all of her grandchildren. She has an assortment of colors, and told us we could all pick the one we wanted when we had children. I love them soo much. They are gorgeous and so soft. I am soo not this talented. Anyway, I could not choose between white and blue so I got both. She also said she would make me a girl color of my choice years from now when a little girl comes along :).

This final blanket was made by my friend Amelia. Until my baby shower I had no idea that she could even sew ;). I love this little blanket though. It is soo soft and cozy, and I love the little doggies.
Caleb is so blessed to have these people in his life, and we will cherish these blankets forever.
On a side note please keep mommy Blair and Ashton in your prayers. She is having a lot of pain from her C section, and Ashton had to be placed in the NICU last night. He had swallowed fluid during birth, and he is doing much better but they were just taking precautions.

Wow! You have extremely talented friends/relatives. Parker has a few hand made blankets and I just love them. I know that I will always treasure them.
