Breaking my Mommy's Heart

I can not believe that I am writing this because there is no way in which it can be true.  I mean my little man was just born, and there is no way that he has been with me for a full month.  Not him.  Not my little newborn monkey who is the best snuggler in the world.  Today can not be September 4th because that would mean that my little man is 1 MONTH OLD.  How could this have happened?? Time is flying by way to fast.  The last four weeks have been the most amazing weeks of my life filled with love, cuddles, long nights, and lots of bottles.  I just can't believe how fast time is flying by and I am trying to take in every single minute.  I mean the little naked man below was not suppose to grow so fast.  We had long conversations about how he needed to stay mommy's little baby forever.  Now take a look at my little man at one month (Supporting the CATS in honor of opening weekend and his first trip to Lexington this weekend).  He is growing up too too too fast.
Caleb at one month.....

  • You are eating 4-5 ounces every 3 hours.  Unfortunately mommy milk is not producing and therefore, today will be your last mommy milk day.  This saddens mommy so much, but formula is working well and it is filling your tummy.

  • You are only waking up two times a night to eat, and you will generally fall right back to sleep.  Mommy enjoys our snuggle time after your night time bottles.  I always snuggle you until you are FOR SURE asleep.

  • You are awake a lot more throughout the day.  Generally you eat...stay awake for about an hour to and hour 1/2 and then fall back asleep until time to eat again.  Sometimes you still fall right back to sleep after your bottle though.

  • You are still wearing newborn diapers and clothing.  In fact I tried a size one diaper on you today and it was HUGE.  I guess mommy and daddy will continue to break the bank buying newborn diapers until you can fit into the 1's (we have 10-12 packages of 1's at home waiting for you to grow into them).  DON'T grow to fast though.  I like my little newborn size baby boy.

  • We can not keep socks on your feet, and mommy has pretty much given up.  They are all to big. Therefore, I just keep your little piggies covered with a blanket.

  • You still love to be swaddled in your swaddle blanket every night.

  • You generally will not fall asleep before 12-1 am.

  • You love love love to be rocked and read to.  "I'll love you Forever" is your favorite.  You are always so quiet and still when I read it to you.

  • You love your swing!! Mommy loves it to when I need to get things done around the house.

  • You do not cry during your baths anymore. and you seem to really enjoy them.

  • You love you MAM binkys.

  • You have your next doctors visit on Tuesday and we will find out how much you weigh then. I think you might have hit 8 lbs by now.

  • You still do your adorable monkey cry at times.

  • You love to lay in the floor and kick. When you have belly time you try your hardest to push with your arms and legs like you are trying to crawl.  You have also come soo soo soo close to rolling over.

  • You can hold your head up very well, and will just look wherever you want.

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU MY MONKEY BOY...don't grow up soo fast.
