So..I woke up to Pee Again!!

Anyone have any advice on how to keep the night time pee in the diaper?  I mean I seriously wake up every morning to a pee covered baby and crib. I strip him, clean him up, re-dress him (all while he is crying).  I then have to strip the bedding and take pjs and bedding straight to the washing machine. I am getting way to fat to bend over the crib and replace the bedding, so generally my childs bed looks like a mess of blankets and a non sheet covered matress. I mean who am I Amber from Teen Mom?  Ughh.

Basically  I am writing this post to ask for advice.  How do you other mamas keep your baby dry at night??

You can try going up a size to see if that helps.

OMG I can totally relate!!! We have tried like every brand of night time diapers, and none seemed to work. Our little guy loved to chug like a whole sippy cup of milk right before bed which I knew was the issue, but didn't have the heart to tell him no because he was obviously thirsty. After a while I thought I realized it was just a habit we had gotten into. We cut out drinks after dinner (we do bath after which he usually pees in... so nasty!). He was super sad about it, but it's been like 2-3 weeks and he doesn't even ask for it anymore. We have had no wet pjs or bed since I did this.

You totally crack me up with your Amber from teen mom comment!!! Man I'd love to get my hands on that girl and give her a piece of my mind! AND take her baby from her until she can stop yelling and fighting in front of her!

Have you tried putting him in the next size diaper?? M is in 4s right now but we put her in 5s for bedtime, maybe that could help!

A little trick my sister told me was to double up on crib sheets; One fitted (water proof) matress pad/sheet with another fitted mattress pad/sheet over it. This way you can just pull off the wet crib sheet/mattress pad and already have clean sheets on the bed. I don't about your crib set, but I basically have take JH's mattress out of his crib to change his bedding...such a pain! May sound lazy, but it sure makes things simple in the middle of the night.

Also, moving up a diaper size and one geared for nighttime should help.

Hope that helps!

A little trick I did with my son was to place a cloth diaper insert (you can buy them at babies r us, target, and sometimes walmart) and put it in the diaper at night. It helps soak it up and keep baby dry! :) Good luck!!

My son had the same problem and here's what I did :: before bed I put him in his normal target brand diaper AND then I bought the next size up "overnight" diaper from Huggies or Papmpers and put that diaper on over top the target diaper. I used both brands of overnights and both worked really well. Didn't have a wet sheet! Hope it helps :)

We had the same problem... so, I cut/tear a slit/hole in the front of the first diaper, put that one one, and then put another diaper on over the top... so he pees through into another diaper :) Make your hole big enough though, so it can soak through without trouble. His bum is a bit bulky in a double diaper, but really it's not bad, and he doesn't mind it a bit. And... it's a rare occasion to wake up to a leak out, and if we do it's usually only on the jammies. Good Luck!

We had the same problem for awhile but just switched to nighttime pullups & that seemed to do ok. We also cut Rylie off drinks after a certain time. I'm glad to read these other tips from moms who've been there tho! At the time I thought I was alone!

We have had the same problem lately... I moved up a diaper size, and we stopped giving him juice or water after about 3-4, and cut his evening milk quantity in half. He didn't seem to care at all, and we haven't had any more leaks!
